If you find steel too cold and gold too bright, fear not, I have the answer to your metallic interior needs: COPPER

Copper is warm and can really brighten up a home. The trick is to find the right balance.

I’ve compiled a few of my favourite ways to add copper touches to your interior without going overboard.

I’m going room by room, showing you different ways to make copper work for you and the reward is a stylish and bright interior.

1- the Kitchen

They say it’s the heart of the home so let’s make it bright and happy. From copper backsplash to copper pans, there is many ways to introduce a touch of copper in your cooking routine.

I absolutely love the mix of a modern kitchen with a copper touch. A modern kitchen is the practical option but it can easily feel cold and clinical. Adding copper accessories or larger touches can help make your kitchen feel homelier.

For a more rustic kitchen style, a copper sink can provide a great addition to your kitchen décor, adding a sense of age and maturity to your interior.

Modern copper pans are also a great way to add a shine to your kitchen and to help you cook with a smile.

2- The bathroom

One of the easiest and most trendy way to add a copper touch to your bathroom is to let your copper pipes show.

If the idea of your plumbing pipes in the open is not for you, copper pipes can also be used to create bathroom accessories such as loo roll dispenser, making them more discreet but still adding a much sought-after industrial edge.

If you are looking for more of a statement, why not go all in with a copper bathtub? Or for the full industrial bathroom look?

While kitchens and bathrooms are the most obvious places in your home where you can add a touch of copper they are by no mean the only ones.

Copper can be added in a lot of different ways and be used in a variety of decorative objects and furniture.

3- Dinning area

Yes, you can absolutely buy a copper table. I picked two very different style of tables for you, depending on how much copper you want to introduce into your home and also on your price range.

If a table made of copper is just not what you are looking for, you can also easily add a copper touch with some gorgeous table accessories.

3- Living room

One of the things I love about copper is that you can use it to add soft touches of pink to a neutral palette or you can use it to add extra brightness in an already colourful room.

Here are example of how you can use copper to perfection and achieve very different look and feel.

Speaking of retro, copper is the perfect vintage material. From factory to farmhouses, it’s been used for centuries in homes of all sizes and shapes.

I picked two iconic statement pieces that would made a great addition to anyone looking for a copper touch.

These pans have been used in kitchens for centuries and definitely speak of a different time. They would be a great addition to any farmhouse style home, in a kitchen or dinning room. They would also look at home in an industrial flat around a kitchen island for example. And what could be more retro than your personal drink trolley. Think of all the 20’s theme parties you can have…

4- Bedroom

Copper has also a softness and a warmth that is quite at home in a cosy bedroom.

With small copper accessories such as jewellery stand, print or lighting fixture, you can create a very calming and positive atmosphere.
